Caesar Memorial Cancer Treatment Fund in West Palm Beach

This special fund was created to support pets battling cancer by helping cover the cost of medications, surgeries, and treatments that might otherwise be financially out of reach for their families.

Cancer is an all-too-common diagnosis in our pets. Treatment options such as surgery and chemotherapy can be life-extending but are often costly. This fund is completely dependent on your generosity, and 100% of donations go directly toward the treatment of pets fighting cancer.

Obie’s Story

Thanks to all who attended our 2008 Halloween Party and Pet Costume Contest, and to our local business community, for helping raise $500 for the Caesar Memorial Cancer Fund.

Our most recent donation went to Obie, a brave Jack Russell Terrier who underwent abdominal surgery for cancer. Thanks to your support, Obie was able to spend several more months of quality time with her loving family after her surgery. She will be missed by all of us.

Caesar the great

About Caesar the Great

Caesar was no ordinary Maltese. Born with a rare muscular disorder, he was unable to walk or run like other dogs — but that didn’t stop him from trying. When his original owner could no longer care for him, Dr. Sharpe brought him home, and Caesar quickly became a beloved family member.

He played with his best friend, Moorea, fought over food with enthusiasm, and loved to crawl into laps for affection.

In August 2007, an enlarged lymph node led to testing and a diagnosis of Lymphoma, which had already spread to his spleen. In an effort to give him more time, surgery was performed to remove the spleen. Although he initially recovered well, Caesar passed away at home just one week later, on September 11, 2007, at 9½ years old.

Caesar’s memory lives on through this fund, which has helped so many other pets fight their own battles with cancer.
